How to read this site, and reserve a week without a mouse

Ordinary markup, headings in the order they claim to be in, a focus ring nobody has deleted, and no fact that exists only as a drawing.

Headings on these pages run in the order they say they run in, which lets a screen reader jump through a page by structure rather than by guesswork. Each control carries a label that gets read aloud. The ring that shows where the keyboard is has not been styled away. Tab through any page and you can reach everything on it; the first thing tab reaches is a link straight past the navigation.

The little square and line beside each figure is decoration that happens to carry a fact, so the fact is never left to it alone. Wherever that square appears, the same distance is spelled out in words within a few characters of it: in the lists, in the table on every page of a change, and at length on the page about how far from the shape. Nor does anything here rely on separating one hue from another.

Every piece of running text clears seven to one against what sits behind it, which is the stricter of the two published bars rather than the ordinary one. Squeeze the window and the page reflows instead of growing a sideways scrollbar; the wider tables get their own scrolling box so they cannot shove the layout about.

What to say about a week before you commit

The weeks themselves are not uniform and the pages do not pretend they are. Each one names the surface underfoot, the driving, the walking and the hours, because those four things decide whether a week is possible for a particular body rather than an average one.

Put what you need in the message box and the office asks the supplier that exact question rather than a vague one. If a week genuinely will not bend that far, you get told so; you do not get sold it anyway.
