What the flight box carries away before you reserve a change
A flight has never been part of the shape this office sells, so the box passes that question to a company that sells seats. Here is exactly what travels, what is worked out where you are standing, and what goes nowhere at all.
Six items, and the list ends there
Six items travel and the list ends there: the airport you set off from, the one you come down at, the day out, the day home where you name one, which cabin, and a count of travellers split by age into three. What you are called does not travel. Nor does an address to write back to, nor a number to ring, nor a syllable of anything typed into the booking form elsewhere on this site. No field for such things exists in the box, and none is added out of sight.
Whose numbers those are
They land at a booking company, which is its own firm and not this one, approached through a host wearing a name this domain lends out. Every figure it returns is that firm's own and holds true of its systems in the second it appears. A seat it holds is held in its records. A card, when one is wanted, is keyed on its pages, because nothing on this website is able to take card digits and nothing is planned that would be. The ticket issues on its terms and on no sentence written here.
If a purchase follows, what that firm settles with this office was fixed long before you came and is drawn from its end. Your total is unchanged either way.
The crossing was never in the price
Worth putting flatly on a page about a flight box: no carriage is arranged here. The shape this office sells starts on the ground where you land, thirty changes are priced from that shape, and a crossing has never sat inside any of those prices. No airline holds a contract with this desk and no ticket is written at it. What justifies the box is that people do have to get there, and naming a firm that prices the getting beats pretending the matter never comes up.
The counting that never leaves your machine
The line beneath the fields is computed on the machine in front of you and travels nowhere. Feed it two dates: it works out the nights they span, sets that number against the nights the house shape runs, and reports how many of the thirty changes would sit inside your dates and how far from the shape they stand.
The anchor and every change come out of the same catalogue file the ladder pages are drawn from, read once while the site is being made, so the box and the pages cannot describe a week differently. None of it is a quotation.
Where the date fields stop
The date fields turn down anything already behind us and anything about eleven months out. That is the far edge of the schedules the booking company can see, and past it a search comes back with nothing, which on a page like this one looks like breakage rather than an empty calendar. Turning it down plainly is the more honest of the two.
The booking form goes the other way
The booking form elsewhere on this site runs the opposite way. It carries what you write to this office and to nobody else, the booking company is never shown any of it, and it exists so a person here can answer you. The two are sealed from each other: nothing typed in the box reaches the form, and nothing typed in the form reaches the box.
